At Bird Houses America we offer specific bird feeders for specific birds. Finch feeders are perfect for attracting American Goldfinch, Common Redpoll, Red Crossbill, Purple Finch, House Finch, Indigo Bunting, Painted Bunting, Sparrows, and other small birds.

If you would like to see lots of American Goldfinch, place a couple finch feeders under a yard tree or on a well placed feeder hanger. They love feeders with seeds, especially thistle and sunflower. Common Redpolls with their red cap and black chin form flocks in winter and can spend much time in backyards at finch feeders. This is good for them, and wonderful for birders like you to view. Red Crossbill will also form into flocks and can be regulars at finch feeders, along with many other birds.

American goldfinch will nest from June to September. They feed partially digested thistle seed to their nestlings. So having one or two finch feeders can be very helpful if you would like to see these very colorful birds throughout the warm months of the year.

Finch feeders and feeders in general serve a very important purpose. They may provide birds with needed food at a time of year when their food sources may be limited. A bird feeder can literally be a life saver to weary birds.

We hope you enjoy our selection of finch feeders, and look forward to helping you to enjoy the wild birds around us.
